Are a group of substances with functional and technological properties that help to develop improved and innovative cosmetic formulations. These ingredients make possible to obtain more pleasant and effective formulations with odor, color, textures, softness, skin extensibility and absorption.

FUNCTIONAL

GIOVAREZ®
Film formers that dry to a water-insoluble film. It is a clear, almost water-white liquid which dries to a glossy, clear, continuous, hard but flexible, water-insoluble film. They may be of nonionic or anionic nature.

GIOVAREZ® BTB-50

(INCI: Behenyl Methacrylate/t-Butyl
Methacrylate Copolymer)

Good option as polymer for waterproof products like sunscreens, mascara, makeup and lipsticks.

GIOVAREZ® AC-5099M

(INCI: Isododecane (and) Acrylates Copolymer)
Very useful for transfer resistant products. Ideal for applications like mascara, lipstick, eye liner pencils, makeup and barrier creams.

GIOVAREZ® P-0580

(INCI: Polyurethane-21)
It’s a non-yellowing film former that forms a high-gloss, abrasion-resistant coating which is derived from a low-viscosity easy-to-apply aqueous emulsion. Applications include creams, lotions, facial hydrating masks and mascara.

PECOREZ®

PECOREZ® AC-50

(INCI: Ethyl Acetate & Acrylate Copolymer)
Forms a clear, hard, smooth, glossy, non-yellowing film used for nail enamels.

PECOGEL®

Polymeric hydrogels are comprised of vinylpyrrolidone polymers or copolymers and hydrophilic urethane-forming water-resistant flexible films.

Anionic polymers

PECOGEL® H-12/A
(INCI: VP/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)

Film-former that dries to a clear, continuous, lightweight non-tacky film. It is slippery when wet and resists removal with water. Useful in mascaras; increases body and manageability in shampoos/conditioners and provides humectancy in skin products. It has the property of retaining fragrances that are slowly released with heat and moisture.

PECOGEL® H-115/A
(INCI: VP / Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)
Film-former with similar properties as Pecogel H-12/A, except dry film has greater water resistance.

PECOGEL® H-1220/A

(INCI: VP / Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)

Film-former with greater water resistance than Pecogel H-115/A., in dry film state.

PECOGEL® HS-501/A

(INCI: VP/Dimethiconylacrylate/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester (y) VP/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)

It’s a 20% polymer solution in water. It forms a flexible, non-tacky film when dry and the film is slippery when wet and insoluble in water. Useful for water nail polish.

Cationic polymers

PECOGEL® GC-310/A
(INCI: VP/Dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)
These products posses greater substantivity to hair and skin than any other Pecogel, while maintaining its excellent film properties. It adds body and viscosity to lotions, shampoos, after-shaves, foams and other body and hair products. Helps to fix dyes in hair dyes, and provides control in the spray in hair products with low VOC (volatile Organic Compounds). It’s very useful in detangling products (especially with wet hair).

PECOGEL® GC -1110/A
(INCI: VP/Dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)
It is more water-resistant in dry film form than PECOGEL® GC-310 /A.

Nonionic Silicone Polymers

PECOGEL® S-1120/A
(INCI: VP/Dimethiconylacrylate/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)
Silicon-based film-forming agent, insoluble in water. It is an excellent base for hydrogel face masks. Hydrogels retain water in the polymer matrix so they allow hydration of the skin.

PECOGEL® S-2120/A
(INCI: VP/Dimethiconylacrylate/Polycarbamyl Polyglycol Ester)
Silicon-based film-forming agent, insoluble in water. It forms films more water-resistant than PECOGEL S-1120 / A
